Aroma Notes-

This wine is iconic of the winery’s sustainability approach. Resultum, from the Latin verb resilire, is a tribute to the natural ability of our vineyards to adapt to the marked climate changes occurring in recent years.

Appearance: Intense ruby red with purple highlights

Bouquet: Rich and complex, with fragrant notes of sweet violets, rose petals, iris, and peony, followed by impressions of dried plum and wild blackberry, backgrounded by hints of mown hay, pipe tobacco, forest underbrush, and vanilla.
Palate: Forceful, harmonious, firm but not excessive structure, its appeal is amply demonstrated by its fruit- and floral-laden drinkability.

Wine Making

A red wine styled for lengthy cellaring, with the Sangiovese grapes grown in vineyards averaging 20 years old and yielding 6.5 tonnes of grapes per hectare. After meticulous quality-selection of the berries, the must ferments in temperature-controlled, fibreglass-lined concrete vats, with a successive maceration on the skins of 25-30 days. It matures a number of months in the same vats, then ages in the bottle for an additional 12 months.

Umberto Cesari

Umberto Cesari Winery, founded in 1964, lies in the hills of Castel San Pietro Terme, in western Romagna. Our winemaking has always focused on our local native grapes, but over time we have added international varieties as well. Day by day, we have watched our vineyards grow, as has our awareness that our local growing area is our most important natural resource. That is the reason that we follow a philosophy that respects the earth but at the same time welcomes new challenges represented by sustainability and innovation. Because we know that the grape of tomorrow must be even better than that of today.
