Buying Wines

How does buying wines from Aroma of Wine work?

Aroma of Wine provides our customers and clients with unmatched access to the world's finest wines. Some of the wines are available for delivery immediately from our stock and private reserves, and some are available through our ever-growing global network of producers and merchants.

When you select products on our site, you are requesting for us to source and supply them. As soon as you make that enquiry or place an order, we will send a confirmation email containing the reference number, and we will get back to you as soon as possible to inform you when to expect your ordered items.

What is the difference between Marketplace and Immediately Available wines?

Marketplace:

The bulk of our listings are available via our global network of producers and merchants – and subjected to a 6-12 week delivery. We strive to get as close to the source as possible, purchasing wines direct from the producer or trusted suppliers whenever possible. We work with suppliers across the globe, giving us unrivalled access to a range of products: we have over 50,000+ discrete listings at any one time.

Immediately Available:

We also list many immediately available wines held within Aroma of Wine's stockholdings or sourced via our private reservists. We can organise the wine to be delivered immediately upon payment. 

Why is there a lead time on Marketplace wines?

Marketplace wines are sourced from a wide range of suppliers globally.

We consolidate shipments, process the wines delicately to avoid damage; an inspection is conducted upon arrival. This process can take between 6-12 weeks. However, please note that the lead time may be significantly faster in most cases, depending on the wines' current location.

Airfreight is available upon request; please speak to your Account Manager; they will advise additional details.

 

 

Do you have a minimum order value?

Our minimum order value is $250. Any orders below this might incur a discretionary fee for transportation.

Do you have a retail store?

In Singapore, our premises include an office at ARK@Gambas and our storage warehouse in the Singapore Wine Vault. Although we do not currently have a retail space, we offer Next-Day Delivery on all immediately available wines for orders placed before noon.

Will I be contacted when my wine arrives?

Yes, you will be informed by notification as soon as your wine arrives, so you can then organise delivery, export or storage via the Aroma of Wine app.

Where are my wines?

You can view your wines' shipment status and if they have arrived at our warehouse by signing into your Aroma of Wine app and viewing the Portfolio page within My Portfolio.

Payments

How do I pay my outstanding invoices?

Sign in to the Aroma Fine Wine app to pay online using the secure payment page link within My Accounts or My Portfolio. Alternatively, settle your invoice by direct bank transfer.

Please include your account number or invoice number in the payment reference. They can both be found on your invoice.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept payment via Visa, MasterCard, PayNow or by direct bank transfer.

Please include your membership account number or invoice number in the payment reference when making a payment by bank transfer. These are both found on your invoice.

Where can I find my invoices?

You can view and download all recent invoices by signing onto your Aroma Fine Wine website and visiting My Account/ payment history.

What are the current Singapore GST rates?

According to Singapore law, we charge the current GST, as of 2020, 7% for GST for any wine purchased.

I believe I have an unauthorised charge from Aroma of Wine.

If you see a charge on your bank statement from Aroma of Wine and you have not placed an order, please contact us.
Please provide a screenshot or a copy of the unauthorised charge, as this will help us investigate and respond promptly. 

 

Delivery

How do I organise the delivery of my wines?

The easiest way to organise your wines' delivery is through the Delivery page on My Portfolio, located within your Aroma Wine app.

Select Add For Delivery next to the relevant wines to manage your deliveries.

Storage

Can I store my wines with you?

Yes, we can store your wines in our climate-controlled cellars. The wines will be stored in your personal Cellar. Please speak to your account manager for details. 

 

 

Which formats are accepted for storage?

From half bottles to imperials, we store both singles and cases in bond or duty paid.

Please note that we inspect the condition of wines upon arrival and reserve the right to reject items because they are not suitable for storage (due to corked wine, leakage etc.).

Please also note that we do not accept wines into our facility without prior notice. A shipping list reference will be required by our warehouse when accepting deliveries, which can be generated by signing into Aroma of Wine and using the Add Product function within My Account.

Are my wines insured whilst in storage?

Yes, all wines stored with us are fully insured at their replacement value.

How much does storage cost?

We charge SGD 1.00 a month ex GST per bottle per month case. Minimum Storage charges may apply; please contact yoru account manager.

My Portfolio

Where can I find my wine inventory and track which orders have arrived?

You can view your cellar inventory of the wines you have purchased from Aroma of Wine. When you sign into the Aroma of Wine Website or aApp and visit My Portfolio.

The Summary page will provide an indication of which orders have arrived and are currently in your Cellar, as well as wines in complete order/delivered status. (please note that the history can be removed from your portfolio at your request).

How do I access my portfolio?

You can find My Portfolio within Aroma of Wine website or App.

If you have not signed into Aroma of Wine before, please visit Aroma of Wine at the top right-hand side of our website, click Create New Account to create your account.

An email containing instructions on how to create or reset your password to gain access will be sent.
