92 Vinous+

Ruby red. Explosive, vibrant aromas of raspberry, kirsch and blueberry, with hints of fresh rose, violet and mocha. Deep, sweet and lush, the concentrated dark berry flavors showing impressive energy and clarity. with a fine dusting of tannins keeping things in check. The finish emphasizes sweeter red berry notes, with a fine dusting of tannins and a note of brightening minerality giving the fruit good shape and grip. This is gorgeous.

Aroma Notes-
The Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon is deep rich purple in colour. On the nose, it has vivid aromas of black fruits, cassis and wonderful spices. The palate is smooth and ripe, displays juicy plum, blackcurrant and black cherry. Flavours are complex and vibrant.

The Grape/Blend

Cabernet Sauvignon

Chocolate, vanilla, black currant, cedar, pepper and high tannins Cabernet Sauvignon is the jet setter of grapes. It travels all over the world, but being a late bloomer, it thrives in warm climates. Grown all over the world, the flavours vary. In France, it is often blended with the softer Merlot or the cooler Cabernet Franc, and is usually a bit higher in acidity. In the southern sphere
